Here are a few reading ideas inspired by Say Nothing
The Cold Cold Ground: A Detective Sean Duffy Novel by Adrian McKinty
Grace and I are both huge fans of this historical crime fiction series about a Catholic member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. I finished all six books in just a few months, and I almost never complete a mystery series. If you do audiobooks, these are particularly good on audio. Adrian McKinty is also the author of the currently bestselling US-set thriller The Chain
The Skies Belong to Us: Love and Terror in the Golden Age of Hijacking by Brendan J. Koerner
The '70s were the era of crazy terrorism, including a five-year wave of airliner hijacking that started in 1968. This book is about a particular hijacking that was the longest in US history. While it makes for a superbly entertaining story (so I'm told), no one who reads this will be clamoring for airport metal detectors to be dismantled.
